Happy Thaipongal

Thaipongal is a harvest festival dedicated to the Sun. So both pre-school from Northern Province organized the Thaipongal celebration on Friday 18th of January 2019 in preschool premises. The main purpose to celebrate this event is to give opportunities the children to understand the cultural rituals and create the happiness during the festival session. At the beginning, teachers and parents made Milk Rice, brought Bananas, Mangos, Pomegranates, Sugar Canes and Coconuts put them on to banana leaves. Then all participants prayed together later they shared food items and ate together. It made a happier day among children. Not only that, all parents and teachers gave their full commitment until the event finished.
