Counseling & Child Protection
The objectives of FLCF are:
- To provide psychological support to families facing ongoing challenges in their daily lives.
- To enhance their knowledge and equip them with strategies to overcome significant family issues, fostering resilience and mental fortitude
Recognizing the urgent need for assistance beyond financial support, FLCF has initiated a Psychological Counseling program for families in Sri Lanka. Many beneficiaries and their guardians require guidance in developing essential life skills, particularly in addressing emotional and psychological concerns.
Through this program, we empower families to confront daily challenges with resilience and maintain a positive mindset. Our aim is to cultivate sustainable solutions and foster a stable and harmonious family life filled with happiness. Additionally, we strive to elevate their lifestyles and livelihood practices, promoting overall well-being and prosperity.
The primary focus is on the children of beneficiary families, with an emphasis on their education, mental well-being, and providing support and guidance for their studies as well. Counseling programs are organized for both the children and their parents, either individually or as a team, with utmost respect for their privacy. If additional treatments are required, individuals are referred to appropriate authorities. The ultimate goal is to foster the development of productive members of society.
