Children's Homes
The Friends Lanka Child Foundation facilitates two children’s homes.
Tudawe Girls’ Home - Wadduwa & Apeksha Girls’ Home – Beruwala

We provide comprehensive support to children throughout the year, ensuring their needs for food, clothing, healthcare, sanitation, education, and recreation are met. Tudawe Home operates under the auspices of the All-Ceylon Buddhist Congress, overseeing a committee dedicated to the welfare of children. Our commitment to children without parents or guardians is unwavering, and we allocate significant resources each year to support their well-being.
Apeksha Children’s Home, located in the Beruwala area, offers care and support to children aged 6-18 who have faced neglect, abuse, abandonment, or other critical issues. Through our programs, we address their basic needs and educational requirements. A recent addition to our services is the Education Center, designed to inspire children to enhance their educational attainment. This center includes a library and reading room, fostering a conducive learning environment.
FLCF prioritizes the rehabilitation of orphaned children, offering vocational training and job placement opportunities based on their interests and skills. Our ultimate goal is to nurture capable citizens who can contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
